Introduction to Outlook 2007
Introduction to Outlook 2007 covers the basic functions and features. Students will create e-mail accounts and send e-mail messages using several techniques. They will also learn how to manage e-mail messages, contacts, tasks, and meeting requests.
- Explore the Outlook environment; use Outlooks features; use and customize Outlook Today; and use the different help options.
- Use the Inbox to read, create, and send messages; reply to, format, and check spelling of messages; preview, read, and save attachments; and forward, delete, and move messages.
- Set delivery options for messages, flag messages, set up the read receipt option for messages, specify e-mail security settings, specify options for controlling junk e-mail, set up Search Folders, and print messages.
- Use the Contacts folder to manage e-mail addresses and create distribution lists; and create, edit, format, and send electronic business cards.
- Use the Tasks folder to add, edit, and mark tasks; assign tasks; accept or decline a task request; send an update; and track an assigned task.
- Create and organize your appointments by using the Calendar; explore Calendar views; modify, edit, and delete appointments; and add multi-day and annual events to the Calendar.
- Use the Calendar to schedule a meeting, and use the meeting workspace; read and respond to meeting requests; and review, modify, and cancel a meeting.

Advanced Outlook 2007
Students will learn advanced techniques for managing stored e-mail messages. Students will create and work with notes and Journal entries, schedule and manage meetings, share Outlook content, and customize templates and forms.
- Create and work with data files, check the mailbox size, manage and archive old messages, and specify where a copy of a sent message is kept.
- Create, forward, and customize notes; create automatic and manual Journal entries; and open and modify Journal entries.
- Use the Calendar to schedule meetings and book meeting resources; create group schedules and send a meeting request to a Calendar group; share contact information; and import Excel data into Contacts.
- Share your folders and permit access to your Inbox; share your Calendar and publish and subscribe to Internet Calendars; send a meeting request and create a Meeting Workspace for the meeting; and work with RSS feeds.
- Change the default appearance of messages by using templates, and create and use forms.

Finance for Non Financial Staff - XFM 100
For business managers and other decision makers who are not financial managers, this workshop explains business management using basic financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) to show how to make decisions and measure their impact. Learn to analyze financial statements to identify strengths and weaknesses as potential customers and suppliers, and to manage price, volume and cost relationship needed to achieve break-even and required profit margins. Participants can use this for performance goal setting and measurements using Economic Value Added (EVA). Firmenich finance terminology will be stressed.
At the end of the seminar, the participants are able to:
- Know the content and use of the basic financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income statement and Cash Flow statement)
- Know how to analyze these documents to assess the risks and strengths of potential business partners (customers, suppliers, subcontractors)
- Understand what drives costs and the relationship between revenues, costs and profit margins
- Know the finance metrics and tools used within Firmenich to set goals and measure business performance and to support good business and investment decisions, as well as the language associated with them (EVA)

Effective Negotiation Skills - The Mutual Gain Approach - XFM 101
Any Manager and/or Professional who wishes to improve his/her negotiating skills will benefit from this Negotiations Course. Learn to select a negotiation strategy, use effective negotiation processes, identify the advantages and disadvantages of "Positional Bargaining", create a Mutual Gains approach, develop a favorable climate for exchange, and practice alternatives to a negotiated agreement. Participants also learn techniques to overcome “dirty tricks” and balance of power struggle so there is a win-win result.

The Presentation Academy - XFM 103
Senior and mid-level Executives who are required to structure and deliver strategic presentations either internally or externally at executive level can learn strategies for successful presentations. They learn how to prepare presentations with content that clearly illustrates their objective and deliver it with platform skills that excite, inform or inspire. After the course, follow-up coaching will be available by e-mail to assist in future presentations.

The Master Facilitator - XFM 104
Prerequisite: The Presentation Academy
Managers who facilitate groups or face-to-face meetings, human resources, training or project leaders will benefit from learning advanced facilitation skills. They will practice those selected skills and methods which need further development and use more advanced techniques such as stimulating useful controversy, dealing with challenging participants, and giving feedback. This workshop refines skills required of a master facilitator. Participants practice problem-solving and coaching and receive peer feedback of their presentations.
At the end of the seminar, the participants are able to:
